Yuvaraja Gurusami, the president of the Malaysia Ayyappan SEVA Sangam, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Malaysian government for the special facilities provided at airports, which eased travel arrangements for Ayyappa devotees traveled to Sabarimala to fulfill their vows. This year, the pilgrimage attracted over 50,000 Malaysian devotees, highlighting the large and vibrant community of worshippers.
Yuvaraja also commended the government for its efforts in facilitating smoother travel experiences for the devotees. The arrangements included expedited immigration processes and streamlined procedures, which minimized wait times and allowed thousands to travel without unnecessary delays. He specifically acknowledged the support of Transport Minister Anthony Loke and Sentosa assemblyman Gunaraj for their support.

The Magara Jothi festival, which signifies the culmination of a 60-day period of intense fasting and devotion, was celebrated at the Batu Caves Sri Ayyappan Swamy Devasthanam. This year’s event attracted more than 3,000 devotees who gathered to participate in the grand procession, engaging enthusiastically in various rituals.
During the celebrations, Yuvaraja urged the community to remain united in their faith and efforts. He expressed hope for even better support and facilities in the coming year, emphasizing the need for continued collaboration with the government to ensure that the spiritual journeys of devotees can be further enriched. He specifically mentioned the desire for reduced ticket prices for devotees traveling to India, which would greatly alleviate financial burdens and encourage more worshipers to undertake the pilgrimage.
