Pradhana Vizha 2026 returned with a spectacular celebration of Singapore’s Indian entertainment industry. Now in its 21st edition, the annual awards embraced the theme “Dare to Dream”, highlighting the artists and productions that have inspired, moved and entertained audiences over the past year.

The event kicked off with the Red Carpet extravaganza, Dare to Dream in Style, hosted by Shamini G, Alawdin Ali, Mediacorp OLI 968 personality Rafee, and podcast creators Yuva and Bharath of Vada Poche. Celebrities arrived in stunning outfits that reflected the theme, turning the red carpet into a showcase of individuality, confidence and artistry.

During the event, the ceremony was brought to life by Udaya Soundari, Jaya Ganesh Isuran, Karthikeyan Somasundaram and Ravi G, whose lively hosting kept the energy high throughout the night. The event also featured augmented reality visuals and innovative stage effects, giving familiar performances a modern, immersive twist.

A total of 19 awards were presented throughout the evening across the Performance and Programme categories, recognising excellence in television, audio, and digital content. The biggest winner of the night was the horror drama Karuvanam, produced by Storybots Asia, which clinched five Performance awards, cementing its impact on audiences and critics alike.

The awards event continued where Mdm Pavalakantham Azhagarsamy received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her decades-long contributions to Tamil broadcast journalism, continuing to mentor the next generation of media professionals in Singapore.

Audience favourites were also celebrated, with Guruu and Nisha Kumar winning Most Popular Male and Female Personality, proving that connection with fans is just as important as on-screen performance.

Beyond the awards, the night came alive with musical and dance performances from both veteran and emerging artistes, including Erfanulla, Shabir Sulthan, and alumni from Yaar Antha Star and Vasantham Star. From orchestral compositions to contemporary melodies, the performances bridged generations, honouring shared passion and creativity.

Adding a fresh twist to this year’s edition, Mediacorp launched Is Everything Going To Be Ok?, an eight-episode micro-drama featuring Sharon Shobana, Baha, Nivaashyni, and Muzammil, with cameo appearances from the Pradhana Vizha hosts. The series reflects the awards’ forward-looking vision, highlighting the next wave of creative talent in Singapore.

Angeline Poh, Chief Customer & Corporate Development Officer, Mediacorp said,  “Pradhana Vizha 2026 has brought together talents across generations in a compelling showcase of production excellence, while celebrating the achievements of those who dared to dream. As the ceremony mark its 21st edition, it not only reflects how far the industry has come, but also signals the exciting future ahead. Heartfelt congratulations to all our winners and nominees. Your creativity and dedication inspire us to continue championing bold, original content that resonates deeply with audiences.”

As the curtain fell, it was clear that Pradhana Vizha 2026 wasn’t just about awards, it was a celebration of dreams realised, talents discovered, and stories that continue to inspire Singapore’s Indian entertainment scene.
