Pahang Aerospace City (PAC) has announced the appointed of Rajeeshawaran Moorthy as it’s Board Advisor, a move seen as a significant step in positioning the development as a globally credible and institutionally aligned space city. The appointment reinforces Malaysia’s growing presence in the rapidly evolving global space economy.
Rajeeshwaran’s appointment follows a series of landmark international developments secured by PAC at World Economic Forum in Davos, where the project gained unprecedented validation on the global stage. These milestones were led and enabled through Rajeeshwaran’s direct engagement, leveraging his extensive relationships across international space policy and governance networks.
Global Validation at Davos
During the Davos meetings, PAC entered into a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affair (UNOOSA), marking a major step in aligning the project with international space governance frameworks and multilateral cooperation mechanisms.
In parallel, The Karman Project, one of the world’s most influential space leadership and policy platforms, signed a collaboration agreement with PAC. The partnership positions Pahang Aerospace City as a future hub for space leadership, talent development, and international policy dialogue.
Both developments were made possible through Rajeeshwaran’s leadership at Davos, underscoring his role in advancing PAC’s international standing at a formative stage of it’s development.
A Key Architect of Global Space Ecosystems
Rajeeshwaran Moorthy is internationally recognised for his work at the intersection of space economy strategy, governance, and institutional architecture. His advisory roles span some of the most influential organisations shaping the future of the global space sector, including:
- Advisor to the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) via Maldives Space Research Organisation
- Senior Advisor at The Karman Project
- Advisor to Axiom Space, a leader in commercial space stations and orbital infrastructure
- Strategic Advisor to the Maldives Space Research Organisation (MSRO)
- Senior Advisor to ARCHE Company, a venture-based space research and technology firm
Collectively, these roles positions Rajeeshwaran as a trusted global interlocutor between governments, multilateral institutions, and commercial space actors, bringing rare credibility to PAC as it scales it’s ambitions.
Architecting a Globally Relevant Space City
In his role as Board Advisor, Rajeeshwaran will guide PAC’s strategic direction across space governance, international partnerships, policy alignment and the integration of terrestrial infrastructure with orbital and space-enabled systems. His mandate places him at the centre of PAC’s long-term architecture, shaping how the city interfaces with global space markets, institutions, and sovereign stakeholders.
PAC is being developed not merely as an aerospace cluster, but as a fully integrated aerospace city, designed to support space commerce, advanced manufacturing, research and development, talent cultivation and international cooperation under globally recognised norms.
Positioning PAC on the World Stage
With this appointment, Pahang Aerospace City advances it’s ambition to serve as Asia’s getaway to the global space economy, supporting high-value innovation, international cooperation, and sustainable growth. Designed to attract sovereign partners, global enterprises, and next-generation space leaders, PAC aligns closely with national priorities while adhering to international best practices in space governance and development.
