The Ministry of Human Resources has announced a RM5 million funding aimed at improving job prospects for graduates and job seekers nationwide. The funding will be channelled through the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO) to strengthen initiatives that help young Malaysians find employment that matches their skills.
At the launch of the MYFutureJobs Career Exploration Centre (MYCEC), Malaysia’s first immersive AI-powered career guidance hub, Human Resources Minister Dato’ Sri R. Ramanan said the investment will support programmes that enhance employability and tackle the growing issue of talent mismatch.

Dato’ Sri R. Ramanan explained that while Malaysia’s unemployment rate sits at a historic low of 2.9%, many workers are still employed in roles that do not match their skill levels. He noted that this mismatch affects nearly two million Malaysians, including a significant number of graduates.
“This centre acts as an integrated one-stop career support system,” Ramanan said, adding that the AI platform will help users explore suitable career avenues in sectors such as manufacturing, engineering, digital technology and high-skill occupations.

In addition to launching the MYCEC, PERKESO signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with RHB Bank to expand the reach of MYFutureJobs to include more than 618,000 RHB users, especially students using the RHB MySiswa Debit-i Card.
PERKESO has set an annual target of 200,000 job placements since 2020. As of February 2026:
- About 12,000 job seekers have benefitted from the centre
- There are 3.1 million job seekers registered in PERKESO’s database.
Ramanan also indicated that if this hub is successful, PERKESO may consider establishing similar centres in other states such as Pulau Pinang and Johor to reach more job seekers across the country.
