Veteran Indian cinema icons Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan have reunited on the sets of the sci-fi sequel Kalki 2, marking their collaboration nearly four decades after they last worked together.
The highly anticipated film is currently being shot in Hyderabad. Amitabh Bachchan, who plays the character Ashwathama, has shared behind-the-scenes photos from the set on his official blog.

The two legends of Indian cinema last worked together in the 1985 action drama Geraftaar, and fans are thrilled to see them share screen space once again after such a long time. Although both actors were part of the first Kalki film, they did not share any scenes; Kamal Haasan’s character had a limited presence. This time around, however, it is expected that Kamal Haasan, portraying Supreme Yaskin, will have a more prominent role, which has increased excitement around the project.

While Kalki 2898 AD was a huge hit with audiences worldwide, the sequel is already setting high expectations among fans. They are widely sharing Amitabh Bachchan’s behind-the-scenes photos on social media. The expanded roles for the cast, along with the film’s futuristic elements and mythological storytelling, are driving anticipation to new heights.
