Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SJKT) Ladang Highlands achieved a historic milestone on 28th February 2026, when it was officially recognized by the Malaysian Book of Records for the successful implementation of an ambitious and large-scale educational programe.
The record-breaking initiative, titled “1000 Rangsangan Idea, 1000 Teknik Psikomotor dan 1000 Video Pembelajaran Bahasa Tamil dalam Masa 100 Minit,” saw the coordinated participation of more than 1,000 pupils, all completing structured learning activities within a tightly managed 100-minute timeframe. The programe focused on stimulating creative thinking, strengthening psychomotor skills, and producing educational Tamil-language learning videos, reflecting an innovative approach to holistic education.

The achievement stands out not only for it’s scale, but also for it’s emphasis on active student engagement, digital learning, and language enrichment. By combining creativity, physical coordination, and multimedia-based learning, the programe showcased how Tamil education can evolve in step with contemporary teaching methodologies.
Adding further significance to the occasion was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SJKT Ladang Highlands and the Universiti Putra Malaysia, through it’s Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication. The collaboration marks the beginning of a strategic academic partnership aimed at strengthening research, language development, and educational innovation for the future.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished education leaders from both district and state levels, whose presence highlighted the importance of the achievement not just for the school, but for Tamil education nationwide.
The recognition represents a meaningful milestone in advancing Tamil-language learning and holistic student development, reaffirming SJKT Ladang Highlands role as a leader in progressive and inclusive education.
