Indian Businesswoman, Nita Ambani has been given an Honorary Doctorate by the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, This recognition is for her extensive contribution given to education, healthcare, sports, rural development and arts. This honour reflects her long-standing commitment to the nation building through the initiatives led by the Reliance Foundation, which have impacted and helped communities across India.

This follows as another major milestone as she was also presented with the prestigious KISS Humanitarian Award 2025 at the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS). The award, is considered as the institution’s highest honour that acknowledges individuals who have made a significant humanitarian contribution globally. It was presented by Nobel Laureate Mohan Munasinghe in the presence of KIIT and KISS founder Achyuta Samanta, along with thousands of students and dignitaries.
Nita Ambani dedicated this recognition to her team at the Reliance Foundation in her speech, emphasising that such honours are a collective achievement. Addressing over 40K students, she also spoke about the importance of dreaming big, working with dedication, staying committed to values and starting opportunities and ambition should remain the same for both male and females.

Describing KIIT and KISS as “modern temples of education”, Nita Ambani expressed her admiration fo the institution’s role in empowering young people. And reflected Odisha’s rich cultural heritage and it’s deep-rooted connection with nature.
The KISS Humanitarian Award, was established back in 2008. It symbolises compassion and service with it’s gold-plated trophy representing hope and power of collective effort. Though Nita’s continued work, this recognition underscores a broader narrative, one where leadership is defined not just by influence, but the ability to uplift community, and build a lasting change that is meaningful.
