Karthi’s upcoming movie, Marshal, is expected to be released during Deepavali 2026. The main actor recently stated that the film is currently in production, with 43 days of shooting already completed. This period film is set against the backdrop of 1965.
In November 2025, the film’s second shooting schedule was abruptly halted after a technician tragically died in a fall at the shooting location in Tamil Nadu. The technician fell from the roof of a wedding hall where crew members were staying during filming near Pudukkottai.
Following the release of Vaa Vaathiyar, Karthi’s lineup of films is generating significant excitement among movie enthusiasts. Vaa Vaathiyar featured an ensemble cast including Karthi, Krithi Shetty, Rajkiran, and Sathyaraj, which has further raised expectations for his upcoming projects.
Marshal boasts another impressive cast, featuring Karthi, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Sathyaraj, all of whom bring a wealth of talent to the film. Directed by Tamizha, known for Taanakkaran, the film’s appeal is further enhanced by the music composed by the rising star Sai Abhyankar, which has already built anticipation for the soundtrack.
