Petronas is playing a important role in helping the government to make sure we have a stable supply of oil and gas at least until May, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The efforts is part of a broader plan to manage the energy needs while maintaining it stable for the public.
In a recent video message, Datuk Anwar Ibrahim shared that Petronas planning has been “very helpful to the people and the country”, especially during a period where energy demand and cost management are main concerns. The assurance of sufficient supply is expected to ease the pressure, and provide some certainty in the upcoming months.
To strengthen these efforts, government has established National Economic Action Council, bringing together experienced and credible people to docus on important economic matters, including energy security. Along with, many special programmes and meetings involving the Cabinet and dedicated committees have been carried out to monitor fuel usage and have better control on consumption.
These reflects a more careful and structured approach by the government in handling national resources. By keeping fuel consumption in check while working closely with Petronas, the aim is to avoid shortages, and maintain a stead supply.
With Petronas support with government initiatives, the focus still is on ensuring that Malaysia’s energy needs are stable and controlled, especially in the upcoming months.
