Ajith has shown interest in remaking the Bollywood movie, Article 15. The movie is based on true events directed by Anubhav Sinha. Ayushmann Khurrana played a cop in the film while the star cast includes Isha Talwar, M Nassar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.
The speculation has come about because Boney Kapoor, who produced Nerkonda Paarvai, has bagged the rights of Article 15. Ajith hasn’t finalised anything beyond the film with Vinoth. The director was in Coorg, giving final touches to his script. He is back, and the project will go on floors soon. It will be interesting if Ajith joins hands with the producer for the third time for the remake of Article 15.
‘Article 15’ revolves around Article 15 of the Constitution which prohibits any discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth, and how its value has been forgotten in the Indian society.
It will be very interesting to see a film like Article 15 being made in Tamil. Would the Tamil audience be okay with a film like that?
