The film’s shoot is set to begin today announces the title poster. This poster offers quite a few clues on what the film might be on. There are braille patterns on the poster that’s splattered with blood near the edges. A hand traces the title and the poster also has BDSM toys on it.
Netrikkan (1981) produced by K Balachanderand directed by SP Muthuraman won Rajinikanth critical acclaim for his performance. The actor played dual roles, father and son, in this film where his father character was a womaniser, wife beater, among other things.
The word ‘netrikann,’ which means the ‘eye on the forehead’ or the ‘third eye,’ also has another popular reference both to Sangam literature and a 1965 film starring Shivaji Ganeshan and Nagesh (Thiruvilayadal).
Nayanthara, who awaits the release of Bigil and Syee Raa Narasimha Reddy, also has Rajinikanth’s Darbar in the making.
