The 90th Academy Awards today paid tribute to two Indian legends who recently passed away.
The In Memoriam segment of the Oscars, the Academy honoured Indian actress Sridevi and actor/producer Shashi Kapoor – amongst others.
Sridevi passed away two weeks ago after drowning in her own bathtub, according to post-mortem reports. She was only 54 years old. Meanwhile, Shashi Kapoor passed away last year at the age of 79 due to liver cirrhosis.
Other stars who were feature In Memoriam are Mary Goldberg, Johan Johansson, John Heard, Sam Shephard, George Romero, Jonathan Demme, and former James Bond Roger Moore.
