Suriya has gifted gold coins weighing eight grams each to 150 members of the Soorarai Pootru team. The shoot of the film was wrapped a few days ago and the first look was announced to be released this October 2nd.
The film, directed by Irudhi Suttru fame Sudha Kongara has Aparana Balamurali, Mohan Babu, Karunas, Jackie Shroff and Paresh Rawal in important roles.
The film has been predominantly shot in Chandigarh. Soorarai Pottru is said to be based on some real-life events that happened in the life of Captain GR Gopinath, who founded Air Deccan. After this Suriya is expected to start shooting for his next film with director Siva.
