Kamal Hassan will release Rajinikanth’s Darbar motion poster on the 7th of November at 5.30pm IST. The announcement was made by Lyca Productions, the production house that is backing Darbar.
Darbar is set to release on the 15th of January 2020, in conjunction with Ponggal. The film is an action thriller and is written and directed by AR Murugadoss.
Darbar will see Rajinikanth opposite Nayanthara again, after Chandramukhi, released 15 years ago. Since the horror flick, the duo have only made two brief on screen appearances together. The first being in Sivaji‘s Balleilakka song, and the other – cameo appearances on Kuselan.
Sunil Shetty will be joining the lead cast, along with Nivetha Thomas, Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiya, Sriman and Prateik Babbar. Anirudh has composed the music for the film.
Interestingly, the production company announced that Kamal Hassan will be releasing the Tamil and Telugu motion posters, Mohanlal will release the Malayalam motion poster, and Salman Khan will release the Hindi motion poster simultaneously.
