Geeta Lachmandas isn’t just a chef. She is also a holistic health coach, wellness consultant and international speaker whose passion is helping women realise their innate strength.
She had all the ingredients for the perfect life, a husband and three children, a beautiful home and a successful business. Geeta, however, was not happy. Things took a turn for the worst when she was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. At about the same time, Geeta’s marriage failed and she found herself in the midst of a divorce.
None of that, however, stopped her. The determination she had helped her survive cancer, and she went on to reinvent herself, pursuing a newfound interest, holistic healing. Geeta then got herself accredited by the internationally renowned Institute for Integrative Nutrition based in New York.
In an interview with Varnam, Geeta talks about what being a woman means to her, how the roles of women have changed so drastically in less than a century and how every woman has the strength in her, she just needs to realise it.
She also touches on the challenges women face. She words it beautifully, saying that women need to go that extra mile just to be credible, while men have it easy as whatever they say is taken at face value.
Geeta continues to help inspire and empower women through her experiences, enabling women to heal and become the best versions of themselves.
