Malaysian singer Siddarth is all set to perform at his inaugural concert, Siddarth – A Musical Charity Concert on Saturday, the 7th of December 2019 at 7pm, at the Tan Sri KR Soma Auditorium, Kuala Lumpur.

Siddarth will be headlining the event, along with Siva, Vanisree and Gayathri. Popular local celebrity Ananthaa will be hosting the event, along with Vino and Gunasri.

The live, unplugged band accompanying the singers for Siddarth – A Musical Charity Concert will consist of Prithivi and Kumar @ Boy, as well as prominent drummer, Mathan G Lock Up. Malaysia’s favourite flautist, Sesatre will also be there to lilt the audience with his instrument.

Rabbit Mac will be making a special appearance at the event. Siddarth has worked with the rapper on a spanking new song under famed record label Plastic Entertainment. The track and music video will be unveiled on the same night.

The charity aspect of Siddarth – A Musical Charity Concert is important to the singer. “I wanted the profits from my first concert to be channeled to charitable causes,” Siddarth tells the Varnam team. “There are two homes that I work closely with, Pusat Jagaan Sai, Kajang and Sri Rama Krishna Ashramam, Melaka. Part of the profits will go to the two homes,”

Born Siddarthan Nagarajan, Siddarth made his name in the Malaysian Tamil music scene when he took part in Astro Vaanavil’s Paadal Thiran Potti back in 2004. The singer made it to the finals, but did not clinch the title.

A decade later, Siddarth joined Astro Superstar 2014, and along with his 5 teammates of the group Vinmeen, won the competition, with each member taking home a car.

Siddarth went on to release numerous singles, including the remarkable tune, Thalaatu Paada. In 2013, his track, Manna Mathure from the Malaysian Tamil film Anushthana won his the AIM award for Best Song in a Drama/Film Award AIM Award 2013

Tickets for Siddarth – A Musical Charity Concert are priced at a reasonable RM50, and light refreshments will be provided to the audience.

When we spend hundreds of ringgit supporting artists who have been flown in from India without thinking twice, why not attend and support the overflowing talent of our Malaysian singers?
