Sid Sriram: Live in Penang
1st February 2020
Woodmark Events, the good people who brought us Sid Sriram Live in KL last year, has breathed new life into Malaysian Tamil music fans up north. Sid Sriram and his band will be performing on the Pearl of the Orient, Penang.
Sid Sriram: Live In Penang promises to be bigger and better than Woodmark Events’ last concert. This is believable with the event being held in the humongous Spice Convention Centre in Bayan Lepas.
Sid will be performing alongside his band that consists of Tapass Naresh, Krishna Kishor, Ramkumar, Sanjeev Thomas and Abijith Rao. Music director Leon James will also be a part of Sid’s band, and we can’t help but to wonder if Leon will be performing a few tunes, in line with the organiser’s promise of a bigger artiste line-up. Also present will be famed guitarist Keba Jeremiah.
Those who didn’t get their tickets for this concert may read this and weep, because the tickets to Sid Sriram: Live in Penang is SOLD OUT. Woodmark Events have also issued a statement clearly saying that tickets sold are non transferable and walk-ins will not be entertained on the day of the event.
Mojo Projects Upcoming Event
14th March 2020
Mojo Projects will be celebrating Illayaraaja on the 14th of March. The organiser took to social media to announce the upcoming concert. We have just also heard from the organisers that this event will be held in MITEC Kuala Lumpur.
Not much else is known about this event, apart from that black and white video that evokes all those nostalgic Illayaraaja feels.
It hasn’t even been a week since the year began, and we are already excited about these multiple musical feasts laid out in front of us. Bring it on, 2020!
