Kajang District Police are currently searching for a local man who put on mask as a Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) contractor to “inspect” premises before stealing valuables and cash.
ACP Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yusoff said that the victims have been deceived by the 30 year old man who claims he is a TNB contractor, before seeking permission to inspect the electricity meter at the targeted premises.
In a recent statement the officer said, “The suspect will ask to switch off the electricity meter and tell all workers or owners of the premises to leave to avoid getting injured during the ‘inspection’ process,”
The investigation is currently being carried out by the team. Anyone with any information on the suspect are asked to contact the Kajang District Police Headquarters at 03-8911 4222.
