Jayam Ravi was last seen onscreen in a comedy film Comali which did wonders and became hit at the box office. His next film, Bhoomi, is written and directed by Lakshman, who is working with Ravi for the third time in a row. The actor unveiled the first look of his upcoming film on Twitter.
The intriguing poster drops major hints about the story line of the movie and it seems that Bhoomi revolves around an agriculture crisis and the current situation of farmers in Tamil Nadu.
The actor is dressed as a farmer and seen wearing a black singlet as he is surrounded by a group of old farmers. 
Jayam Ravi is currently engaged with the shooting works of Ponniyin Selvan and Bhoomi. Bhoomi is Jayam Ravi’s 25th film directed by Lakshman. The movie will mark the Kollywood debut Nidhi Agarwal. D Imman will be composing music, Chennai Express fame Dudley will be cranking the camera, John will take care of the edit and G Durairaj will handle art.
The team has made an official announcement that the movie will be release on the 1st of May this year!
