You’ve probably heard about Not The Usual Indian Bazaar that’s happening this weekend. What you didn’t know is that there’s going to be a special session in conjunction with International Women’s Day, called Speak Your Heart, Sister. Two incredible individuals are going to be a part of this, Ruby Subramaniam and Dr Mohanaapriya Sina Raja. This session is powered by Varnam Malaysia.
Come Saturday afternoon, these two ladies will be all set to share their thoughts with you on a topic close to their hearts. And yes, the talks are absolutely FREE!
Dr Mohanaapriya Sina Raja
This former Miss MalaysiaIndian Global winner wears many hats, her most recent being the Tudor bonnet, a cap reserved for doctorate students, when she graduated with her PhD from Internatinal University of Malaya-Wales. Dr Mohanaapriya is also the chief operating officer of MMIGlobal, the non governmental organisation that conducts the Miss MalaysiaIndian Global pageant annually. In addition to being a news presenter with RTM, Mohanaa has recently stepped into the world of academia as a lecturer.
Ruby Subramaniam
A name that needs to introduction, Ruby Subramaniam has taken the world of Malaysian art by storm. This artist not only organises event to empower artists like Art Battle MY, she has also run art exhibitions in out country. Her last big project was Banana Leaf: A Celebration of Malaysian Indian Arts & Culture, where she convened the largest gathering of Malaysian Indian artists to showcase their work in conjunction with Deepavali. She now works on various art projects within the region
Both Dr Mohanaapriya and Ruby are scheduled to speak on Saturday, 14th of March 2020 from 4.00 pm onwards during the Not The Usual Indian Bazaar at The School, Jaya One. What will their topics be? You’ll have to wait to find out!
Reminder: All those who are attending the bazaar are reminded to take the necessary precautions to minimise the risk of acquiring or transmitting Covid-19. Hand sanitisers will be placed throughout the bazaar. If you are feeling unwell, we do not recommend you attend this event.
