A team of college students has been helping the Tamil Nadu government in halt the spread of the coronavirus by spraying disinfectants in areas where Coronavirus is most prevalent. Team Dhaksha, in charge of the drones, was trained by actor Ajith. Drones are deployed to remote areas and hilly terrains where other traffic is impossible to pass by.
Thala Ajith was the expert consultant during the design of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle by the Daksha team in IIT Chennai. The team participated in the UAV Challenge Medical Express 2018, which was held in Queensland, Australia and won second place.
