Madhavan will resume the shooting of his upcoming film Maara along with Shraddha Srinath.
The crew of Maara began shooting in June 2018. The film was subsequently put on hold as Madhavan became busy with the production of his first directorial venture, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. As a result of this, there was a schedule break of over a year.
In October 2019, production resumed with comedian Alexander Babu joining the cast.
Maara is a Tamil remake of Malayalam film Charlie featuring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead alongside actress Parvathy. It has confirmed that the film will be a romantic comedy.
Maara is helmed by Dhilip Kumar, who made headlines with his famous short film Kalki. On the music front, Ghibran will be scoring the music for the film.
This is Maddy and Shraddha’s second time sharing the screen. They were last seen in Vikram Vedha together.
