Vishal and Arya share a great camaraderie both on and off-screen. They have been friends for a long time and have worked together in director Bala’s Avan Ivan, which released in 2011.
The two are coming together for another project, which will be directed by Anand Shankar, who is known for making films like Iru Mugan and NOTA.Dhanush’s long-time manager Vinod will be bankrolling the project under his home banner.
Arya will play the antagonist in the film. He will begin shooting for it once he completes director Pa Ranjith’s Salpetta.
The actor is currently waiting for the release of a film titled Teddy, directed by Shakthi Soundar Rajan. Bankrolled by KE Gnanavel Raja under his home banner Studio Green, the film features Arya’s wife Sayyesshaa as the female lead.
Meanwhile, the first look poster of Vishal’s debut directorial venture Thupparivaalan 2 was recently released and it garnered decent response from the audience. The film was initially started with Mysskin as the director. However, he opted out of the project due to differences with Vishal.
There are also speculations that Vishal is in talks with director Sundar C for a new project.
