Malaysian band The Banditz have gone above and beyond their call of duty once again with their latest offering, Pothi Vacha Malliga Mottu. Melding the music of the classic folk rock song, House of The Rising Sun with the Illayaraja tune, this band has superb job with the arrangement.
The Banditz comprise of Sitharta on the keys, Jeffrey Anthony on the bass, Kevin Paul on lead guitar and Gustine Dinesh on the drums.
Sitharta’s clever arrangement coupled with Pravin Saivi’s smooth vocals tie this version of Mann Vasanai tune in a perfect gift. A gift that you would open if you want to momentarily forget that most of the planet is currently under lockdown thanks to a pandemic. And that is exactly what we need right now.
We know which watering hole we are headed to once the MCO ends! Well done Sitharta, Kevin, Gustine and Jeffrey!
