Sheila Singam, the founder of Human Equation, is among the many volunteers who have been making reusable face masks.
The training consultant along with her daughters Stephanie and Joanna as well as her son-in-law Dilip Gaspar have been working hard to prepare the materials to be sent to volunteers who will then piece it together.
“It is important for Malaysians to contribute in whatever way we can. Our frontliners are in ‘the direct line of fire’. Some don’t have enough protective wear. Helping in the project is the least we can do,” Sheila said.
Sheila and her family have been following the YouTube video by sewing school owner Ng Ching Ching. The sewing instructor is well aware of the shortage of disposable face masks amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
Knowing that cloth masks make a good alternative, she decided to put her skills to good use by uploading a YouTube video tutorial on how to sew a face mask. Check out here video here.
