The Health Ministry has identified a new cluster of positive Covid-19 cases among security guards at a mall in Cheras. A total of 10 positive cases have been detected so far. Of the 10, nine cases involved Nepalese while the other is a Malaysian.
The Health DG, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that the cause of the cluster was still being investigated, and that all workers and close contacts had been screened.
He also said all the Nepalese were staying in the same place in Cheras. Other than the security guards, all the other workers of a supermarket in the mall were also screened.
So far, 436 people have been screened for Covid-19, with 10 testing positive, 347 testing negative and 79 still waiting for their results.
