The trailer of the upcoming Tamil legal drama Ponmagal Vandhal, which stars Jyotika in the lead role, is out.
The trailer was shared by actor Suriya, whose production house 2D Entertainment has backed the film, on Twitter. The clip promises a gripping tale about the abduction and murders of five children in Ooty.
The trailer shows Venba’s (Jyotika) life, who is fighting a child trafficking case in the court. Her job gets difficult as the evidence against the culprits has been fabricated. How Venba secures evidence to get justice to the families of the victims’ forms the story.
Ponmagal Vandhal was slated to release in theatres this May. However, due to the lockdown in India, the makers decided to go for a direct OTT release. The film will hit televisions and laptops by Amazon Prime Video on the 29th of May.
Apart from Jyotika, the film stars K Bhagyaraj, Parthiban, Pandiarajan, Prathap Pothen and Thyagarajan in crucial roles. The technical crew comprises of music director Govind Vasantha, cinematographer Ramji and editor Ruben.
