126 Tamil Nadu Hospital Staff Contract Covid-19

A TOTAL of 126 staff from a hospital in Tamil Nadu, India, have been diagnosed with Covid-19, Makkal Osai reported. Tamil Nadu state has been one of the worst affected places in the country.

Its capital city, Chennai, has seen the most number of cases. The Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in the city, which has been the primary hospital in handling Covid-19 patients, detected the shocking number of infections among its staff.

The 126 people included department heads, doctors, nurses, medical assistants and others who have been working in the Covid-19 wards. All those affected are being treated in the same hospital.

Tamil Nadu has seen an increasing number of medical workers, police officers, municipal cleaning staff and reporters getting infected.
