The national broadcasting station, Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) are in the midst of the pre-production phase on a brand new documentary. RTM will emphasize on the Indian traditional games and sports museum maintained by the Penang Hindu Endowment Board (PHEB).
The Penang Hindu Endowments Board (PHEB) located at Jalan Macalister, Penang and it’s believed to be the first museum in the country. Various Indian heritage artifacts used by previous generations were displayed at the museum for public viewing purposes
PHEB Executive Director Datuk M. Ramachandran said the museum displays things that used in games such as Dayakattai or known as Dhayam, Pallanghuzi, Chathurangam, Koli, Pambaram, Nondi, Kabaddi, and Silambam.
