Malaysia’s current YouTube sensation Sugu Pavithra incepted during the MCO period, cooking home cooked food for the comfort of netizens to watch and devour through their YouTube channel, has just reached another milestone by reaching 100k subscribers.
The duo just dropped a new video on their YouTube channel of themselves unboxing the Silver Play Button awarded by Youtube. Sugu and Pavithra or popularly and affectionately known by #SuguPavithra expresses gratitude to their ardent fans by thanking them for their overwhelming support, helping them come this far.
Their famous YouTube channel is one step closer to reach the record breaking of 1 million subscribers with 773,000 presently at press time.
The couple from the historical town of Sungai Siput, Perak had a huge turnover in their life when their cooking videos on YouTube starting hitting many likes and shares across the world. They were showered with thousands of well-wishers and support from fellow Malaysians from all walks of life regardless of race nor religion, when they shared a variety of cooking videos during the pandemic period.
Recently, Malaysia’s Prime Minister Datuk Sri Muhyddin Yassin congratulated them and invited the famous couple over to KL, to have a meet and greet session with him, offering a stay vacation at Sunway Hotel and Resort. Pavithra was also offered the opportunity to showcase her cooking at the resort.
The success of Sugu and Pavithra is evident that one does not necessarily need to be extremely well educated or accomplished to become a role model attracting a sleuth of fans to their YouTube channel. We can all be inspired by the humility and down-to-earth attributes of the couple in reuniting us as Malaysians.
The influential wife and husband duo has certainly brought together Malaysians ever since their first video went viral on YouTube. SuguPavithra is the real face of what Malaysia is all about, a land where all live in harmony with one another, enjoying the uniqueness and diversities that bind the nation together.
