More young singers are trying their luck in the music industry, with a few attempting to land that record deal via singing competitions.
Minnal FM’s search for talented Malaysian singers has cleared its first hurdle after the success of the radio station’s online audition for its contest Bintang Minnal @ RTM 2020. A total of 500 aspiring singers took part in the contest by uploading singing videos showcasing their talent along with the #minnalstar2020 hashtag on Instagram.
Out of the 500, 20 singers were shortlisted to the semi final round which will take place at Auditorium P. Ramlee, Wisma Radio Angkasapuri on 5th September 2020. Popular music composer Jay and Sharmila Sivaguru will stand as juries.
The singers selected for Bintang Minnal @ RTM 2020 are Arulini, Mojine Nair, Siva Nyana Moorthy, Ruhan, Gayathiry, Nivendra Rao, Navina Pugalenthi, Pavitren, Jaya Bharkavee, Haridass Jeya Sangar, Theeban, Dhanasegarran, Piraveen, Keerthana, Priya, Jevittha Diane, Melisa, Michelle Grace, Subaasai and Thiviyashini.
The grand finale will witness the top 8 finalists battle it out on stage. Guess the question all of us would ask then would be, “Who will emerge as the star of Bintang Minnal @ RTM 2020?”
