YouTube Sensation Sugu Pavithra Removed All Their Cooking Videos

A total number of 100 videos from Sugu Pavithra, the popular YouTube cooking channel, have been removed. The YouTube channel, which has amassed over 786,000 subscribers, featured cooking recipes by the husband-wife duo namely M. Sugu and S. Pavithra.

This happened after a recent domestic dispute between them. The duo’s success and fame abruptly hit a wall when Sugu was arrested for allegedly attacking and hitting Pavithra at the parking lot of Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital.

The altercation was triggered by Sugu’s dissatisfaction over not being mentioned by his wife in her acceptance speech for the Ipoh recognition. Sugu was charged at the Ipoh Sessions Court with possession of an offensive weapon and assaulting his wife. He pleaded ‘not guilty’ to both charges.

Pavithra, 28, and her husband Sugu, 29 became YouTube sensations after they began uploading videos of her cooking on the channel during the movement control order (MCO) period.

The couple has gained recognition among Malaysians for their cooking videos and even acknowledged for their contribution by our Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
On July 21st, Pavithra received the title of “Ipoh City Icon”, which is given to Ipoh-born individuals for their success.
