The COVID-19 coronavirus has infected over 214 countries and territories worldwide and was first identified in Wuhan, China in 2019.

In Malaysia, the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak was detected on the 23rd of January 2020  and till date there are more than 12,000 cases with over 137 deaths!

The Malaysian government has been consistently addressing the challenges on a regular basis by monitoring, treating, managing and solving the underlying issues.

As the primary concern of the crisis is public safety, the government in general and the Malaysian Health Ministry in particular planned and implemented great measures to keep citizens safe from being infected with the fatal virus..

The public are being constantly reminded to practice social distancing and avoid unnecessary travel. However, as the unprecedented pandemic surfaces despite the strict SOP’s imposed by the government, the public have been taking matters quite lightly leading to high spikes of cases lately!

As of the current record dated, 3rd October 2020 by KKM (Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia), we are being hit by the second wave of the Covid- 19 pandemic with 317 cases!

The reason to the alarming rate is merely due to the public’s negligence for failing to adhere to the SOP’s causing the nation to be hit by the outbreak once again!

Selangor, has the highest record of Covid-19 cases at 92 while KL stands at 43, followed by Sabah, Johor and Negeri Sembilan holding a respective of 26, 22 and 19 cases each! Based on the record, these are the states track recorded with over 10 confirmed Covid-19 positive infections.

On a global note, amongst ASEAN countries, Malaysia with more than 300 cases, is now the country with the highest number of Covid-19 cases! This is really worrying!

The Covid-19 Pandemic has been a threat to many countries, taking a toll on people’s lives killing millions in it’s deadly wave! Based on the record of WORLDOMETER, the virus has infected over 3 million people and caused more than 1 million deaths around the world!

The symptoms of Covid-19 are as follows:-

If you have any symptoms of Covid-19 or have been to places that have been confirmed to have positive Covid-19 cases or clusters, get yourself immediately checked at the Covid-19 test centres around you.

We urge all Malaysians to stay safe and follow all SOP’s implemented by the government.

Bare in mind, this virus is deadly! Our negligence on this matter is not a calculated risk. Hence, it’s better to stay safe than sorry! Please follow the SOP’s strictly.
