As stated by Bernama, due to the pipe burst at Jalan Persiaran Jubli Perak, Seksyen 24, Shah Alam yesterday, six areas in Klang and Shah Alam will be experiencing unscheduled water supply disruption, yet again, starting the night of 12th October until evening on the following day.
Elina Baseri, Corporate Communications head of Selangor Water Management Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said that the water disruption areas include Seksyen 18, 19, 20, 23, 24 and 25 in Shah Alam.
She stated that the broken pipe restoration that started at 9pm on 12th October (yesterday) should be completed today and that water supply will restart in the affected areas before 3pm.
“After completion of the repairs, customers will receive water in phases depending on the distance and pressure of their premises,” she said.
However, the early restoration of the broken pipes would have definitely brought some ease to the affected areas. Air Selangor has done a very responsible job by quickly reacting to the problem and resolving it on time!
