Yugendran Vasudevan who had wowed fans with his popular cover song Thendral Vanthu Theendumpodhu from Avatharam, has amazed us again with another melodious cover title Kadhal Rojave.
This time the singer collaborated with violinist Sruthi Balamurali and Ramya Ramachandran for additional vocals. This song is one that is etched on our minds thanks to the voice of the legendary SP Balasubrahmanyam. The Academy Award-winning music director AR Rahman’s debut movie, Roja (1992), had featured SP Bala singing the title song. SP Bala was already a famous singer in the 1990s, but this unique song still tops the charts as one of his best works.
Yugendran’s rendition squeezes listeners’ hearts, conveying the sorrow and grief he felt due to the great loss of SP Bala to the music industry.
