Interstate Travel Allowed From Today Onwards; CMCO In Selangor, KL & Sabah Extended!

Interstate and inter-district travel is now allowed effective today, with the exception of places under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO). Without the need for a police permit, Malaysia will facilitate travel through states and districts nationwide except in areas under enhanced EMCO.

However, the government extended the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in several states such as Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Sabah as well as some parts in Johor Bahru. This is because the number of Covid-19 cases remained high in the state. The extension will be until 20th December 2020.

Several flexibilities have been negotiated, including the limit per car being lifted by the authorities. In order to minimise the spread of Covid-19, the police will continue to monitor the enforcement of SOPs.

The healthcare sector has enough potential to cope with recovery rates at 80 percent, which is one of the highest in the world. Positive cases, consisting of both imported and domestic cases, appear to be in double digits.

Covid-19 is still far from over and until a vaccine is made available, please comply with the SOPs set by the government, wear a face mask and sanitise always.
