Malaysia’s Aanantha Shares His Thoughts On Performing On The Same Stage As Unnikrishnan And Unni Menon

Everybody knows THR Raaga’s Aanantha as the hilarious radio personality and emcee. But what many do not know is that the man can really sing, so much so that the Mojo Projects organizer, Mr Ratna called him “one of the best singers in Malaysia.”

This Saturday, for the first time ever, Aanantha will be sharing the stage with legendary Indian playback singers and musicians, Unnikrishnan and Unni Menon. Yesterday, I got the chance to ask Aanantha a question at the Mojo Projects Retro Rahman press conference. When asked how it feels like to share the stage with the legends, this is what he had to say:

These (Unni Menon and Unnikrishnan) are all singers that I listened to and admired for a very very long time. When I listen to them, I always wonder if it’s even possible to sing at such a level. They’re huge inspirations in my life and to perform on the same stage as them is a dream come true for me. So, I would like to thank Ratna and Mogi for this. It’s such a proud moment for me to perform with them. I’m definitely looking forward to this Saturday.

Aanantha will be performing on the same stage as the likes of Unnikrishnan and Unni Menon tomorrow (7th July 2018) at the Retro Rahman concert by Mojo Projects at Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur. See you guys there!
