Just as the doors to all cinemas have now begun to be open, movie producers are stomping in to fill in the seats with a bomb release of their respective films in a row.
Stretching into April just a week away, two much-awaited films from Dhanush and Karthi are already up in line screaming in mass for an exclusive theatrical release!
WATCH SULTHAN’S TRAILER HERE:
Karthi’s Sulthan is helmed by one of the finest veterinary director in the Tamil film industry, Bakkiyaraj Kannan, featuring Karthi has the lead role.
Karthi plays a tyrant of 100 powerful men as supporters. Sulthan’s 100-strong men seem to pose a major threat to some bad guys, setting the scene for a no-holds-barred battle.
Karthi’s co-star in this film is done by Karnataka’s crush, Rashmika Mandanna, marking her first debut in the Tamil film industry. Sulthan is being billed as the “biggest production so far” in Karthi’s esteemed career.
We defo eagerly anticipate catching him on screens soon!
WATCH KARNAN’S TEASER HERE:
The two-minute teaser of Karnan weighs a strong blow setting in the mood of the film without divulging far too much. There’s not a drop of blood in the clip, yet you could feel the intensity of violence that’s evolving through the background score accompanied by esoteric visuals.
The teaser serves as a war bugle, heralding the birth of the oppressed’s savior, Karnan, played by Dhanush.
And, as in the old days, he rides in on a horse, wielding a battle sword. The teaser is layered with allegories from folk art traditions, which brings a lot of meaning to it.
Dhanush’s first theatrical release since Pattas in January 2020 would be Karnan. Indeed, everyone had anticipated that his long-awaited film Jagame Thandhiram would be released after theaters reopened following the lockdown.
However, S. Sashikanth of Y Not Studios flabbergasted everyone by opting to release Jagame Thandhiram exclusively on Netflix.
Don’t Forget To Catch Karthi’s Sulthan on 2nd April 2021, & Dhanush’s Karnan on 9th April 2021!
