Ramadhan has begun, and it is a time for fasting, prayer, joy, and most importantly, family bonding. Some people, however, do not just fast during the month of Ramadhan but have been starved for days without food.
Vicky, a YouTuber, has stepped forward in times like these to shed some light on those in need of food during “puasa.”
He went around the streets of Kuala Lumpur, handing out 300 satays(sate) to the homeless.
Vicky also has fed 100 Ramli Burgers to the homeless and poor in Kota Raya and Central Market on his 13th Episode of Vicky’s Foodie.
Vicky began his journey as a YouTuber six months ago. On his YouTube channel, Vicky’s Foodie, he not only cooks but also does charity work. In fact, those two videos were not his only act of charity.
The generous one has also shared a video on his YouTube channel, requesting sponsors to assist the B40 students in obtaining a laptop. In the video, which was posted two months ago, he stated that due to the pandemic, many students have no choice but to participate in online school lessons.
However, students who do not have laptops, computers or access to the internet have struggled to receive the necessary education. So, Good Samaritan Vicky offered to support those students by requesting sponsorship from those who would be able to help.
There’s a saying by Albert Schweitzer which goes;
The purpose of human life is to serve and to show compassion and the willingness to help others.
As a human being, it is essential to be worthwhile by being able to help others. You might just be able to brighten someone’s day by buying them a meal. Personally, I believe that these are the kind of videos that should receive views and recognition.
This is not in any way to make Vicky famous but also to inspire others to do the same. Acts of kindness are desperately needed nowadays. Let us help those in need and set a good example of what it means to be compassionate.
Hats off to Vicky for doing such noble work! We wish you the best of luck and encourage you to continue your charitable work. Continue to inspire us with your acts of kindness.
