COVID-19 Data Tampering?; Logeswaran Nadesan Questions MoH On False Information Regarding Mother’s Death

Logeswaran Nadesan’s mother was admitted to the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Serdang Hospital on 23rd January, and doctors declared her dead the following day. Her mysterious death, however, was only made public after 32 days.

Kolandaiamah Perumal, 71, was admitted to Serdang Hospital on 13th January due to breathing difficulties and discharged five days later after her swab test was negative.

Logeswaran who has lived in Sabah for more than 20 years claimed his mother was reported to have pneumonia and was readmitted on 21st January on suspicion of being a Covid-19 close contact. The next day, she was confirmed to be infected with the virus.

It wasn’t a problem until Logeswaran discovered that the ministry’s report on Covid-19 cases from 22nd January to 24th February omitted his mother’s death. Instead, on 25th February, the ministry announced the death of a 71-year-old woman from Sibu, Sarawak.

Logeswaran’s mother’s death was noted and included in the 25th February Covid-19 report after he contacted the hospital and health authorities. However, the details were inaccurate once more, with the report saying that a 71-year-old woman died in Sibu.

On March 1, they responded that Case No. 1,093 relates to my mother. The ministry responded without prejudice, saying her death was listed on February 25.

So, does this mean there is manipulation in our country’s coronavirus data?

He stated that he has contacted the hospital, government, and health authorities, but the details in the ministry’s report continue to be inaccurate.

“It doesn’t make any sense. Serdang Hospital is also one of the primary care centres for Covid-19 patients. A blunder like this should never have occurred. Are they tampering with the numbers by using my mother’s case?,” he asked?

Logeswaran stated that he needs closure and is enraged that the family was denied the opportunity to hold a funeral in accordance with his mother’s religion.

He said that he would take the matter to court if the authorities do not explain his mother’s death within seven days.

Similarly to how the public should maintain the SOPs and be truthful about their symptoms, the government should follow the same principle. Transparency and honesty regarding the coronavirus figures must not only be valid, but also accurate. There is no debate about it!
