Finally, the wait is over!
Paramapatham (The Snake and Ladder Gameboard) has finally seen the light of the day on 29th April which is today. Helmed by Viknes Perrabu and Thanesh Perrabu, the mystery thriller film is produced by Sai Nanthini Movie World, Dr. Latcha Perrabu and Dr. Chakravarthy.
This film will also be the first in Malaysia to feature ice-skating and a hot air balloon. The local film is touted to be the tale of an archaeologist, Aroon and 3 of his friends, who go on a trip. Aroon finds an ancient board game, and what happens next makes up the story.

The entire team has conducted an extensive research and recreated the board game with many more unique elements. Special effect make-up was used for the cast, thanks to makeup artist Swarie. Paramapatham features a line-up of artists namely as K.S.Maniam, Singai JGun, BenG, Aghonderan, Umagandhan, Vicky Nadarajah, Kavimaran (THR Raaga), Viknes Perrabu, Thanesh Perrabu, Sasivaroban, Risheekesan, Kausaliya, Pavitran, Vimal, and many more.
Last year Paramapathan won 16 awards, including Best Cinematography, Best Feature Film and Best Director Award at various film festivals around the world which placed it in the Malaysia Book of Records, a certified entity under the Guinness World Records, for “Most Tamil Movie Awards won by a Movie Director”.
Paramapatham is set to compete in the Best Foreign Film Category in the 78th Golden Globe Awards.
On the music front, Balan Raj and M. Jagathees has composed the music for this film.
