The world celebrated Mother’s Day on Sunday, and Ipoh native Kartik has come up with a tribute song for all moms, entitled Nee Illamal. Composed by Satthia, the song was sung by Rishi Kumar along with Ktik Kay who also penned the song lyrics with Raghadeepan Satheran.
“Though every day can be Mother’s Day, we should all honour our mothers on a special day devoted to them, considering the sacrifices they have made and the endless love they lavish on their children. Nee Illamal portrays a mother’s unwavering love and support towards her child.”
The music video features the singer himself, Pushpa Narayan, and Yuvan Chandraseker. All I would say, the tune is bound to make one reminisce their moments with their beloved moms and, yes…a bit weepy, too.
So crank up the volume, grab some tissues, and savour your precious mommy moments.
