Tamil school students are constantly making us proud by emerging as champs at various international competitions!

An amazing accomplishment came after three students from Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SJKT) Mak Mandin, Seberang Perai Utara, clinched gold medals at the Global Olympiad Green Innovation Fair (GO-GIFT 2021) competition recently.

The international design and innovation competition was held virtually due to the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Perhaps even more excited than the pupils were the teachers as these team of dedicated educators have provided constant support along with their continuous training and preparation for the competition.

Ammbuja Soothesan, Thaniyamithraan Vengades, and Medhanesh Kathiravan were among the three students who took home gold medals.

Their project was based on Water Filtration & Purity, which explained the way of identifying unhealthy contaminants in the water and taking action to remove them. The contest was officially officiated by the GLOBAL Environmental Invention & Innovation Association (GeiiA).

Despite experiencing a wide range of educational hurdles as a result of the worldwide pandemic, these enthusiastic students went the extra mile, by shedding their sweat and tears into creating something that would benefit the community.

Team Varnam would like to congratulate all the students who have excelled in their respective categories. Keep up with the good work, kiddos!
