The trailer for Karthik Subbaraj’s forthcoming Tamil action movie which stars Dhanush as a Madurai-based gangster, will premiere on Netflix on 18th June.
The trailer sets up Dhanush as a gangster from Madurai who travels to London to clash with a local gangster played by Game of Thrones’ James Cosmo. It seems that they have a strained relationship. The film will follow his gangster journey from Madurai to London.

“Suruli” (Dhanush) is a reckless gangster from Madurai who is recruited by a London-based politically-affluent gang leader ‘Peter’ (James Cosmo) and his men to understand and break into the illegal underworld operations of the ‘Sivadoss’ (Joseph ‘Joju’ George) and his gang, which is rising in power and taking control of London’s illegal weapons and gold business. The central theme of “Suruli” is a fight for a place to call home, as seen through the eyes of three different characters.
