Let’s give a special shout-out to Insomnia’s team!
Helmed and penned by Sivanesan Ramdass, a Malaysian short film aptly titled Pani Vizhum Malar Vanam connects the dots between perspectives and stereotypes, which eventually brings out a beautiful message for people to ponder and appreciate in the long run.
The director himself makes an appearance in this 13-minute short film, alongside with other talented cast including Durga Devi Nisha, Thanasilen Mageidran, and Sashvin Raj Batumalai. Shot by Elaventhan Murthy, the short film was released on Insomnia Film Factory YouTube channel earlier this week.
On the music front, Sharvien Thangaraju and Thivagar have made this short film more engaging with their scoring of its soothing music that captures the essence of life and desires of the individuals featured in this film. The entire team has certainly impressed the audience with an incredible plot along with a beautiful message.
One of the dialogue which caught my attention was:
Even after gifting the sky to a sparrow, if it’s adamant to fly beyond, it isn’t our fault. For some, even the skies may seem to be like a cage.
Rather than judging women hastily, we should watch the full short film below:
Kudos to the entire cast and crew for the powerful message showcased via this short film.
