Making it into our neighbouring country is already ground-breaking!
Our local drama series Kalvanai Kandupidi (KKP) and Tamiletchumy made its debut on the regional streaming platform, Vasantham Mediacorp, Singapore. Both drama series have been receiving overwhelming positive feedback from our Malaysian netizens and it’s so inspiring to see our renowned directors and artistes are out of the ordinary mainstream plot.
Karthik Shamalan’s supernatural series entitled Kalvanai Kandupidi (KKP) will start premiering on 14th June, from Mondays through Thursdays at 10pm only on Vasantham channel and meWATCH.
The series revolves around Vishankavel Rajamoorty (Vishan), who loses interest in life after the murder of his beloved girlfriend, which he feels guilty about. He begins a quest to try and communicate with her soul one last time, and along the way, gains supernatural powers that enable him to communicate with the dead. However, the series gets complicated when a soul is set free and seeks revenge against Vishan.
Meanwhile, a Malaysian Tamil drama series aptly titled Tamiletchumy which is produced and helmed by famed husband-wife duo Denes Kumar and Dr Vimala Perumal has made its way into Singaporean shores airing its first episode on 7th June at 9pm on Vasantham and meWATCH. Jasmine Michael, Hemaji, Devendran, Moon Nila, Seelan Manoheren, James Devan Arokiasamy, Agalyah Maniam, Sri Kumaran Munusamy, and V.Dhurgashini are among the casts who starred in the women centric new series.
