The Chairman of the Health and Environment Committee, R. Vidyananthan has made a special allocation to help the Indian community in Johor who are in dire need. The application is open to the public from now onwards till 15th July, 2021.
Applicants have to identify which of the three categories they wish to apply for assistance, as divided below:
- Entrepreneurship
- Welfare
- Education (IPTA/IPTS)
Eligibility requirements for the applicant
The following are the eligibility requirements for the application, divided by category, that must be fulfilled by the applicant:
Welfare Category
- The applicant is a Malaysian citizen who has resided in Johor for at least three years.
- Households with an income of less than RM2000.
- Applicants must provide a bank account statement for the previous month, a salary slip for the previous three months, and an EPF statement, as well as the supporting papers mentioned below.
- The applicant’s parents or guardians must acquire a certificate from the Commissioner of Oaths if they are self-employed.
Education Category
- The applicant is a Malaysian citizen who has resided in Johor for at least three years.
- Households with an income of less than RM2000.
- All applications should include a copy of the educational institution’s offer letter confirming the applicant’s admission to the chosen course (for basic education students, diplomas and degrees), and those who are enrolled in school must include a copy of the student confirmation letter.
- The applicant’s parents or guardians must acquire a certificate from the Commissioner of Oaths if they are self-employed.
Entrepreneurship Category
- The applicant is a Malaysian citizen who has resided in Johor for at least three years and is between the ages of 18 and 60.
- The applicant is either running a business or is going to establish one.
- SSM (Companies Commission of Malaysia) has approved the application.
- A single loan for a single family.
- The applicant’s monthly salary is less than RM5000.
- Applicants must provide a bank account statement from the previous three months as well as a Sworn Declaration Letter.
- In addition, applicants must submit a ‘Business Plan Paper.’
REMINDER: The Management Government Officer, Local Community Leader, and Penghulu/Village Head should certify all the copies of documents submitted.

- As stated above, prepare the appropriate supporting documentation for each category.
