It’s never too late to celebrate this young girl’s achievement!
In the world of education, there are several prospects, and kids are impressing many with their knowledge, talents and skills much above their years.
Kahnisha Thirumaran bagged the Nilam Award for the International Book Review contest 2021 under the Nilam programme, held annually.
The 12-year-old year six pupil from Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SJKT) Kulim demonstrated her reading skills by compiling her ideas and content in video form, to make it easy for the juries and participants to read her work. The young girl’s video was selected by the juries for its ability to help enhance reading capabilities amongst students.
Besides that, Kahnisha has also clinched first place in the Bandar Baru Kulim district competition and third place in the Kedah state level competition.
According to the school headmistress Malarvizhi Subramaniam, the school has provided constant support along with her continuous training and preparation for the competition.
Organised by Talent Development Society, the competition saw quite a number of Indian students participation in the competition. Other than Kahnisha, Kavinaya Chandran from SJK (T) Methodist Kapar, Sanjanaa Sivaguru from SJK (T) Ladang Sungai Ular, Varenyasri Loganathan from SJK (T) Mak Medin and Niranjana from SJK (T) Simpang Lima were among the winners which have been listed in its international overall winners category.
Despite experiencing a wide range of educational hurdles as a result of the worldwide pandemic, the students, teachers and parents went the extra mile, by shedding their sweat and tears into creating something that would benefit the community.
Congratulations on your notable achievement kiddos!
