A proud moment indeed!

It’ll be a day for our community to remember their achievements which were acknowledged and celebrated around the world. Recently, four Malaysian Indians made it to the ASIA Awards Malaysia News List 2020/2021.

The ASIA Awards, powered by RULA Awards, has become a global benchmark for corporate excellence. Today, no other Business Award receives the same level of recognition and adoration from peers as the ASIA Awards does. The purpose of this award ceremony is to create a competition to raise overall performance standards and recognise the highest performing organisations’ achievements.

It serves yet as the best platform to look for inspiration from those who have succeeded through the tough times. They may look average in your eyes, but not to us.

R Raagidhasakti

Raagidhasakti has bagged the “Asia’s Young Outstanding and Talented Women Achiever Award” under Asia’s Women of Influence Award category. She took up the role of a mother to her two younger brothers after becoming an orphan at an early age.

Her work path began at a young age of 18, when she volunteered to help underprivileged children to obtain free education because she knew they couldn’t afford to attend extra classes like others. The Malaysian Book of Records holder has taught over 300 kids for free in order to improve their scores.

Till date she has given over 300 motivational talks and workshops for individuals, enterprises, and families, as well as 154 online webinars, live pods, and media appearances in Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Singapore.

Raagi is already working on the launching of her own community retreat centre, “Green Wings Psychology Centre,” which will focus on mental illness and all aspects of addiction in Malaysia’s Selangor and Kuala Lumpur states.

Dr Riyas M K

Dr Riyas M K, the Director of Signus Consultancy and Signus Academy, is a capable professional with over 15 years of experience in the fields of international business development, program development, teaching, and college administration.

The edupreneur and academician has bagged Asia’s Outstanding Consultant Award. Signus Academy provides online live interactive classes to all learners. They believe that all young people deserve access to  quality education, which is why all of their teaching is based online.

He continues to mentor and encourage younger individuals in their pursuit of world-class breakthroughs to this day. His unwavering passion and commitment personifies the spirit of kids and their quest for greatness.

Signus Consultancy has slowly but steadily developed a good reputation as a trustworthy source of reliable help and knowledge to students who are seeking advice to study abroad and internships in the Asian region.

Sisiliya Joseph

“A good teacher is like a candle—it consumes itself to light the way for others.”

SJKT Mahathma Gandhi Kalasalai’s Mathematics teacher is absolutely an inspiration to all of us. The road to this honour was not pleasant; she faced several obstacles and problems along the way. Despite being a mathematician, she taught English to students as the school faced a shortage of teachers.

Teaching methods have altered due to the pandemic. Teaching is now done remotely and on digital platforms, as a result, she began to use e-learning platforms to gain her knowledge, and in 2020, she was certified as a Google Educator Level 1. She also utilises Google Classroom, mylink, Google Meet, Kahoot, Word Wall, Quizizz, Canva, Google Form, Google Slide, Jamboard, and Telegram quizbot to teach her pupils. All of her hard work has paid off after receiving praise from fellow students and parents alike.

Gomathy Sankaran

Gomathy is a name that needs no introduction. She has spanned her own inventions and innovations, which has managed to earn numerous international recognitions. The multi-award winning science teacher from SJK (T) Kangkar Pulai, Johor has bagged Asia’s Women Super Achievers Award under the category of  “Asia’s Education Awards”.

Till date, she has received 75 international awards, 42 national awards, and several state level awards as well. Despite having medical complications as a result of a slipped disk that required three years of extensive therapy, she continued to pursue her dream, in completing her PhD in Education Technology from Open University Malaysia.

Dr Abdul Kalam stated that:

“You Have To Dream Before Your Dreams Come True.”

Congratulations on your inspiring success. Here’s to your streak. Keep it up!
