As of August 2nd, the walk-in vaccination program has begun successfully with the goal of accelerating immunisation and attaining targeted herd immunity by October. However, there were some confusion over the term used, and quite a number of fake news have been circulating around with the public believing that anyone could walk into any vaccination centre and get their shots.

Well, that’s NOT the right way. Let us clear the air for you so that you’ll have a better picture on what’s going on.

Who Are The Individuals Allowed For Walk-Ins?

Only those who meet the following criteria will be eligible for a walk-in vaccination:

  • Those who have not yet received a vaccine appointment
  • Those who had cancelled their previous vaccine appointment, or
  • Those who have NOT registered for vaccination

NEW UPDATES For Senior Citizens:

Khairy Jamaluddin, the coordinating minister of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Program, clarified a few issues on 2nd August, 2021:

  • Senior citizens can still walk-in for vaccines;
  • They can do so at any PPV in the Klang Valley
  • Senior citizens are not confined to the nine PPVs used for walk-in vaccinations by younger adults.

Which Vaccination Centres Allow Walk-Ins?

Nine vaccination centres (PPVs) have been allowed for walk-ins. Remember its on a first come first serve basis, so don’t miss the chance guys. Malaysians can walk into these vaccination centres:

  1. Bangi Avenue Convention Centre (BACC)
  2. Hotel Wyndham, Klang
  3. Ideal Convention Centre, Shah Alam (IDCC)
  4. Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) : HCO F
  5. Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) : HCO G
  6. Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) : HCO H
  7. Dewan TAR Sabak Bernam
  8. Dewan Komuniti Serendah
  9. Movenpick Hotel & Convention Centre KLIA, Sepang

While, foreigners can walk into ONE vaccination centre, which is:

  1. Bukit Jalil National Stadium

Wondering What Documents To Bring Along?

Whether you are a Malaysian or a foreigner, these are the required documents:

  • Proof of residence in the Klang Valley (Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Putrajaya)
  • For instance, the address on an identification card, a driver’s license, a utility bill, a credit card bill, a business card, a student card, and so on.
  • People with comorbidities: a doctor’s note or any other appropriate document confirming your health status or history is required.

Remember that you can only walk into the selected vaccination centres from 2 PM onwards!

This program is intended to include all Malaysians who may have missed out on registration or are having problems with the app and so far, 12 million Malaysians have yet to register.

Come on guys, let’s get vaccinated!
